Alex is recognised for his unique photography style that emphasises a combination of natural elements, practical effects, cinematic and whimsical touch of fan-art illustration feel in his pictures. He is known for making use of smartphones and any sort of cameras to create beautiful photographs, including analog photography.

Calvin is a comprehensive photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As one of the Sony Malaysia Alpha Guru, he has extensive experiences in photography workshops, training and events. His photos could often be seen in magazines and exhibitions. His involvement with Cosplay Photography began as a hobby (then created the MoonHawk Photography Page) before he went Professional, which helped enhance his skills and talents accumulating to 10 years of photography experience. Besides Photography, he has the certificate of Image Consultant, laying his foundation of art in fashion and creative. In 2016, he decided to make his own company, Calvin Art Gallery, pushing him into photography full time, while he completes customer’s needs in any aspects of photography services.

Hello I am Rikka! 🐣
A cosplayer and prop maker since 2011, Rikka has joined numerous international projects and competitions, including collaborating with Riot Games as the Official Star Guardian Jinx and releasing a promo video with MTV Asia. Cosplay photo shooting is a big part of Rikka’s cosplay journey and she values character portrayal and creative expression and her Harley Quinn Cosplay Photo was chosen as one of the top 10 best Harley Quinn Cosplays Globally on World Cosplay. Rikka also enjoy memes.

Judging Process

To win, qualified entries must be able to charm our panel of judges and have the most likes on the AniManGaki’s official Facebook/Instagram post.

Entries will go through a panel of judges using the following criteria:

Voting process online will begin on 10th August and end on 16th August.

  • Registration officially ends on 2nd August 2020 at 11.59PM (GMT+8).
  • Every submission is final; please ensure all details provided are complete and accurate. Incomplete and inaccurate submissions will be disqualified.
  • An acknowledgement email will be sent to you within 1 week of registration submission, confirming your participation in the competition.


  • This competition is open to all Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike, but contestant must be a resident and living in Malaysia.
  • Contestants must be at least 14 years old. For contestants age 14 to 17, you will need to fill in a consent form by your guardian as provided by AniManGaki.
  • Every submission is final; please ensure all details provided are complete and accurate. Incomplete and inaccurate submissions will be disqualified.
  • As AniManGaki is a family friendly event, the following is not allowed:
    • Explicit clothing and nudity
    • Overboard violence and gore
    • Profanity
    • Alcohol and drug use
    • Inappropriate poses
  • Images submitted must be in landscape (16:9) with an image resolution of 240-300 ppi.
  • Your photo submission may be edited to enhance certain effects, but for entries with edited photos, you would be required to send in 2 images (1 fully edited and 1 RAW photo). Your edited photo will be used during the judging and the RAW photo will be used for judges’ reference.
  • Editing that are allowed:
    • Minor skin touch up
    • Minor costume/prop touch up (i.e., smoothen slightly over prop or removing dirt)
    • Minor liquify
  • Editing that are NOT allowed:
    • Digital composite of prop/costume accessories
    • Brushing on makeup
    • Digitally ironing out costume or completely smoothing out prop surfaces
  • Contestants entering the competition will go through the following process:
    • Registration
    • Judging and Voting Process
    • Result to be aired live at AniManGaki Online
  • By entering the competition, contestants have consented by default that:
    • AniManGaki reserves the right to use participants’ images and performance recordings for promotional purposes.
    • AniManGaki reserves the rights to alter the rules or structure of the competition as we deem fit.
    • AniManGaki reserves the right to disqualify anyone who is deemed unsuitable for the competition, and judges’ decisions are final.
  • Participants must cosplay as an official character from an officially released anime, manga or game. No original characters or fan-made characters. No mixing of characters from different sources.
  • Prizes will be sent to winning contestants within three months after the event.
